I'm Davida Walsh, and I'm from New York - split time growing up between Ithaca and East Northport. I went to UW-Madison for undergrad, during which time I interned for Sen. Feingold for a semester in Middleton. I paralegaled in Manhattan for a year after college, and just finished law school at Boston University & the NY bar. I have no campaign experience except for a brief stint stuffing envelopes when I was about 12, but I hope that I will be able to contribute anyway!
September 28, 2006 - Texas Update
Hey y'all! Things here in the Courage for Congress campaign have gotten off to a great start. I have been assigned as the Deputy Field Coordinator for Bexar County, which represents the largest of segment of voters in Texas' 21st Congressional District. The "re-re-redistricting," and the declared "Special Election," which opened the race back up to anyone who wanted to run, has made things interesting and exhilarating, to say the least. Although John Courage now has 6 opponents: 1 Republican, 1 Democrat, 1 Libertarian, and 3 Independents, he hasn't missed a step! We've been having great success with recruiting student volunteers, and are continuing to build on that momentum. Texas Democratic politics is alive and well, and has been an unforgetable experience thus far. |
