Hi, My name is Josh Penn, I am from New York City.  My background is not generally in campaign work, though I did do work on the 2004 presidential campaigns in Ohio.  I worked for several years as the station manager of a public radio station in Indiana where I attended Earlham College and received a degree in Non-profit management.  I am currently managing a theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland, but am leaving in order to join the Patriot Corps.  I am really excited about this opportunity to work for Russ Feingold who is, in my book, one of the most admirable politicians in America.  I look forward to meeting you all in a few weeks.

September 26, 2006 - Minnesota Update

I'm out in Minneapolis, Minnesota working on the Amy Klobuchar Senate Campaign.  The campaign is going really well, but there is a lot of work to do over the next forty or so days.  I'm working a lot with the Veterans for Klobuchar, setting up events across the state for Amy's Dad, Jim Klobuchar (a Veteran) to go out to veterans halls and talk to Veterans about the issues that matter to them.  I've also worked at various events and rallies across the state and in doing so, have had the chance to see some really inspiring speakers including Bill Clinton, John Edwards and the entire federal Minnesota ticket.  Also among those speakers was Amy Klobuchar of course, who is going to be a fantastic senator.  I have been extremely impressed with her intellect, dedication, ethics, and practicality, which she has displayed time and time again throughout this campaign and in her past work.  It's rare that one has the chance to have two bosses (Feingold and Klobuchar) that are so admirable.
