Mike McGourty from Chicago, IL assigned to Steve Kagen for Congress (WI) Watch video bio     I'm Mike McGourty, and I'm from the Southside of Chicago.  I graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May with a degree in Poli Sci and Arabic Studies.  I've worked/volunteered in a variety of campaigns, most notably interning with the Edwards campaign in the summer of 2003 and most recently working as a State Site Coordinator for a Nebraska petition drive.     September 28, 2006 - Wisconsin Update I've had a whirlwind tour since arriving in Northeast Wisconsin two weeks ago.  I'm assigned as a Field Organizer with Dr. Steve Kagen's campaign in the 8th Congressional District, one of the top House races in the country.  I've been in charge of our intern program, which involves reaching out to the various colleges in the area.  So far the campaign has been really impressed with how enthused and hard working our interns are, as are the rest of our volunteers!  It's going to be a hard fight up here, but I think we'll put in the hard work to get it done!
