Hello. My name is Noah Ornstein and I hail from Santa Barbara, California. I am currently living in the thriving metropolis of West Hartford, Connecticut where I have been splitting my time between working in studio productions at ESPN and volunteering on Ned Lamont's campaign. While this situation has been enjoyable enabling me to work in my two primary fields of interests, politics and television and film production, I am ready to hit the road and start working towards accomplishing some big things in November. My most recent political experience prior to working on the Lamont campaign was back in 2004 during my college years, when I interned as an aide in my home district for Congresswomen Lois Capps. Since then most of my work has been in television production, working on a variety of music videos, performance videos/electronic press kits, some commercials, and for both Fox Sports International and ESPN doing studio production work and writing. I firmly believe that these elections present a great opportunity to substantially alter the political landscape of this country in a positive fashion, and am quite excited to be able to contribute and be at the center of it all.
September 27, 2006 - Wisconsin Update
Since arriving in northwest Wisconsin two weeks ago I have quickly learned how crucial this area is in determining the future political control of the state, and have been doing everything I can to make sure that there are some big Democratic gains in November. On Tuesday I got a chance to hear Governor Doyle speak at a coffee shop in Chippewa Falls, in a forum that also involved State Senate candidate Pat Kreitlow for whom I have primarily been working for since I got up here. I have been helping the Kreitlow campaign by organizing canvasses, helping run phone banks, doing research, recruiting volunteers, and trying to get people as excited about what we can accomplish in this election as I am. Later today I am going with Mr. Kreitlow to a local high school to explain to the students why volunteering is what the cool kids do, and why politics and Democrats in particular get a big high five from me. Should be fun! |
